Lesson 1 · 10 min
Finding tasks worth automating
Learn
Good candidates are frequent, repetitive and rule-based: sorting emails, summarising forms, drafting routine replies.
Write the task as steps: trigger → input → what AI does → output → where it goes.
Practise This
Map one repetitive task in your week as trigger, input, AI step, output and destination.
Build With What You Learned
Estimate how much time automating that task could save each month.
Lesson 2 · 10 min
How automation tools connect
Learn
Automation platforms such as Zapier, Make or n8n are external products that connect apps and can add AI steps between them.
Start small: one trigger, one AI step, one action. Keep a human review step until you trust the result.
Practise This
Sketch (on paper or in a doc) a three-step workflow for the task you mapped.
Build With What You Learned
Decide which step must always have human review and why.
Lesson 3 · 8 min
An introduction to AI agents
Learn
AI agents are tools that can plan steps and use other tools to complete a goal. They are powerful but can make mistakes across many steps.
Give agents narrow goals, clear limits and checkpoints where you approve the next action.
Practise This
Write a clear goal, limits and approval checkpoints for a small task you might give an agent.
Build With What You Learned
List what an agent should never be allowed to do without your approval.
