Lesson 1 · 8 min
Getting started with an AI assistant
Learn
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini are separate products made by OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. You sign up with each provider directly; Buddy2Build teaches how to use them well.
Each has a free tier with limits and paid plans with more features. Plans and features change, so check the provider's own site.
Practise This
Sign up for one assistant you have not used yet and ask it to explain what it can and cannot do.
Build With What You Learned
Pick one assistant as your default for everyday drafting.
Lesson 2 · 10 min
Comparing tools on the same task
Learn
The best way to choose a tool is to test it on your own real work. Different assistants have different writing styles and strengths.
Give each the same prompt and compare clarity, accuracy and tone rather than relying on reviews.
Practise This
Send the same prompt to two different assistants and write down which answer you would actually use, and why.
Build With What You Learned
Decide which tool you prefer for writing, research and planning.
Lesson 3 · 10 min
Working with files and longer projects
Learn
Many assistants can read documents you upload and keep context across a conversation, which helps with longer work.
Break big jobs into steps: outline first, then draft each section, then review the whole piece.
Practise This
Upload a non-sensitive document and ask for a one-paragraph summary plus three key action points.
Build With What You Learned
Use the outline → draft → review method on a real document you need.
